# Common Use Cases
Once you have connected the Quicklizard connector, you can ask Claude about your pricing data in plain language. You do not need to know tool names, endpoints or filter syntax — describe what you want and Claude works out how to fetch it.
Below are the things people ask most, with prompts you can copy and adapt.
Make your prompts specific
Claude answers better when the question is narrow. Name the channel, the date range, the product or the group where you can. "How did Electronics do on the DE channel last week?" beats "how are we doing?".
# Understand catalog performance
Track revenue, margin and units across your catalog, and see how the numbers move over time.
How did my catalog perform in the last 7 days versus the 7 days before?
Show me the revenue and margin trend by week for the last quarter.
Which brands contributed the most margin last month?
Break down last week's performance by category and tell me which ones declined.
# Investigate a single product
Get the full current picture of one product — its prices, costs, competitors and attributes — and understand how it got there.
Give me a full snapshot of product 4815162342.
Why is this product priced the way it is right now?
What is the current competitor landscape for this product?
# Find products matching a condition
Search your catalog the same way you would filter it in the Quicklizard UI.
Find products in the Electronics group with no competitor price.
Which products on the UK channel are priced below cost?
List products whose price changed in the last 24 hours.
# Trace price changes and who made them
See the history of a price, and the audit trail of who changed what.
Show me every price change for product 12345 over the last 30 days.
Who last modified the pricing strategy for my Electronics group, and what did they change?
Was this price set by the pricing engine or overridden manually?
# Review strategies, groups and parameters
Inspect how your pricing is configured without clicking through the UI.
Which pricing strategies are assigned to the Electronics group?
Explain the rules in my "Competitive Match" strategy in plain English.
List my parameter sheets and show me what is in the margin floor sheet.
What custom functions are defined on my account, and what does the cost function do?
# Check channel and exposure performance
Compare channels and see where prices are actually landing.
Compare performance across all my channels last month.
How much of my catalog is currently priced above the market?
Summarise price activity on the DE channel this week.
# Understand product relations
Inspect the relationships that tie products together for pricing purposes.
What product relations are defined on my account?
Which products are in the same family as product 12345, and which one is the leader?
# Simulate a price change
Estimate the impact of a change before you make it.
If I raised prices 5% across the Electronics group, what would the estimated impact on revenue and margin be?
# Combining it with your own work
Because Claude can hold your Quicklizard data alongside everything else in the conversation, some of the most useful prompts are the ones that join the two:
Pull last month's performance by category and draft a summary email for my manager.
Compare this list of competitor prices I'm pasting against our current prices, and flag the biggest gaps.
Turn last quarter's channel performance into a table I can paste into a slide.
# Things it will not do
The connector is read-only by design. Claude can read and analyse, but it cannot:
- change prices, or push a price recommendation;
- edit strategies, groups, parameter sheets or custom functions;
- create, modify or delete anything in Quicklizard.
To make changes, use the Quicklizard web app. Claude is there to help you decide what to change.
It also cannot see data outside your own permissions — see User Setup.
